Retainza is operated by AppUnik (“we”). This page explains what we collect when you visit retainza.com, leave us your email, or use the Retainza product, and what you can do about it. Questions or requests: hello@retainza.com.

When you visit the website

If analytics is allowed in your browser (see Cookies below), we record:

  • the pages you view, and when;
  • a few actions: clicking sign-up, log-in or pricing links, starting the sign-up form, seeing the Ask AI demo, and seeing our email offer popup;
  • how you first arrived: the site that linked you, campaign tags in the link, and the first page you landed on;
  • your device type, browser, language and time zone.

This is stored against a random visitor ID in a cookie, not your name. We do not store your IP address with it. We use it to understand which pages help people and to improve the site.

We also use Google Analytics, which collects similar information under Google's own terms, and Microsoft Clarity, which records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, shown to us as heatmaps and session replays) so we can see where the site confuses people. Clarity hides what you type into form fields. We do not use advertising cookies or share data for advertising.

When you leave your email

Our forms (book a call, retention plan, Ask AI, pricing questions) collect your email and whatever else you choose to give us: name, company, app or website, and your message. We use it to reply, to send what you asked for, and to follow up about Retainza. We send you a confirmation email, and our team gets a copy of your request.

If analytics is allowed in your browser, we link your email to the visit history above, so we can understand what you were looking for. You can ask us to remove that link or delete everything at any time.

When you create an account

  • Account: your email, a hashed password (never the password itself), your organization and plan.
  • Security log: each sign-up, log-in and password-reset attempt, with the email, IP address, time and result, to stop abuse and lock out password guessing.
  • Bot check: the sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated sign-ups.
  • Sign in with Google: if you use it, Google sends us your email address and confirms it belongs to you. We store only the email. On the home page, Google may show its own sign-in prompt if you are already signed in to Google in your browser.
  • Billing: paid plans are handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details.
  • Ask AI: questions you ask and the workspace data needed to answer them are sent to Anthropic, which runs the AI model.

When you sign up or log in, we also link that browser's visit history (if any) to your account.

Data you send through Retainza

Customers use Retainza to message their own users: profiles, events, device tokens and message content that you send to us through the API and SDKs. We process that data only to provide the service, on your instructions. You decide what to send and who it is about, and you are responsible for having the right to send it. Messages go out through the providers you connect, such as your own Firebase Cloud Messaging project or SMTP server.

Cookies

  • Analytics: rz_vid (our visitor ID, one year, renewed while you visit), Google Analytics cookies (_ga and similar, up to two years) and Microsoft Clarity cookies (_clck up to a year, _clsk one day).
  • Necessary: session cookies that keep you signed in, rz_consent (remembers your analytics choice, one year), and small browser-storage flags so we don't show you the same offer twice.

Visitors in the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland are asked before any analytics runs. Everyone else can turn analytics off at any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no. Change your choice here: .

Who we share it with

We don't sell personal data. We share it only with services that help us run Retainza:

  • Google (Analytics and Sign in with Google), Microsoft (Clarity), Stripe (billing), Cloudflare (bot check), Anthropic (Ask AI);
  • our email provider, to send confirmations and replies;
  • our hosting provider, which stores the data;
  • and anyone the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is open. Leads and visit history are kept until they are no longer useful to us or you ask us to delete them. Security logs are kept as long as needed to protect accounts.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it for follow-up emails. Email hello@retainza.com from the address concerned and we'll act on it. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act) you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Retainza is a business tool and is not meant for children.
