APNs push integration for iOS

iOS delivery runs through FCM's relay to APNs. You upload your APNs key to Firebase once; Retainza never needs a second credential.

How it works

    Create an APNs authentication key in your Apple Developer account.

  2. 02

    Upload it to your Firebase project's Cloud Messaging settings.

  3. 03

    Connect that Firebase project to Retainza as your push channel.

  4. 04

    Register iOS device tokens from the client SDK.

Questions

Do I need a separate APNs connection in Retainza?

No. Firebase relays to APNs, so the single FCM connection covers both platforms.

Can I send rich push with an image on iOS?

Yes. Retainza sets mutable-content and the APNs image option when a campaign has an image. Note that iOS silently drops plain http image URLs, so Retainza rejects them when the campaign is saved rather than letting the send fail quietly.
